The wheat market had another strong showing this week with a continuation of the recent rally, culminating in a surge of buying that almost reached the June high before quickly deflating, leaving a minor spike high.

Grain Basis Dampened by Gustav and Rising Barge Rates Grain basis levels sunk lower in soybeans, and were up slightly for corn over the past week. Corn managed a 2 cent improvement on basis, while soybeans were off 10-cent for the week. Read More.
